New Vacancy - Project/ Controls Engineer

Due to continued growth and expansion MDC are looking for an experienced Project / Controls engineer.

Job Description:

1. Produce PLC specifications and software as required for individual projects.

2. Produce SCADA /HMI packages to customer requirements.

3. Carry out FAT’s on panels and software with clients.

4. Visit sites to carry out commissioning both nationally and internationally.

5. Visit site to carry out modifications, fault finding and service requirements.

6. Produce electrical design drawings as required within the preferred package of AutoCad. Typical drawings would be, circuit diagrams, panel layouts, legend designs, etc.

7. Keep back up’s of all designs, drawings, programs, etc. on MDC system so that in the event of fire or other substantial loss, important data is not lost.

8. Assist in building electrical control panels in workshop as required at busy times.

9. Overnight stays will be necessary throughout the year.

Essential Competencies:

1. Be experienced on Siemens (TIA Portal)

2. Have good knowledge on SCADA and HMI Systems.

3. Competent on the use of AutoCad for electrical drawings in 2D

4. Understand network requirements for PLC / HMI/ SCADA implementation.

5. A working knowledge of drives, Schneider and Siemens.

6. Full UK Driving License.

Desirable Competencies:

1. Good understanding of Industrial Refrigeration.

2. Experience with Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley PLC’s.

Package:

Salary circa £35,000, overtime paid, pension contributions.
